A deep thinking friend asked me why I take photos, why I feel it matters. I thought of this pic and clumsily said “Because, like Wow! We’ve been given such beauty in this world and somebody might miss it because ugliness is a bigger extrovert.” Photos (c) Alison Colby-Campbell
Alison Colby-Campbell takes photos because she wants to share the beauty and mystery that surrounds us, but that we may be too busy to see. Alison finds that beauty in all living forms – from people (all people with good hearts!) to living creatures as loved as pets and as seemingly insignificant as bugs… in plants majestic and minuscule… the awe displayed in far off space… and the close by cityscapes and architecture that are the remains of man’s dreams fulfilled and even forgotten.
All photos are copyrighted (so please do not share without permission) and most are available for purchase. Alison Colby-Campbell also takes commissions.

Plug Pond in Haverhill at Sunset. Seeing the silhouette of the man fishing reminded me of my father. Photo (c) Alison Colby-Campbell
